AIRCRAFT ENGINE
AEROSPACE SOLUTIONS
Aircraft engines demand high-quality assurance standards. The high-value engine components combined with long cycle times make it essential to produce quality parts for safety-critical applications. We understand what it takes to machine complex aircraft engine components to maximize efficiency.
DIAEDGE Cutting Tools’ innovative tooling technology provides customized grades, technically superior coatings, and insert geometries for
demanding materials such as titanium (Ti), Inconel® and heat-resistant super alloys (HRSA) to enable production of a perfect part every time.
ENGINE CASING
Engine casings are machined from a variety of materials such as high-temperature super alloys, Inconel®, and titanium (Ti) for increased durability and strength to channel airflow and protect the engine from debris. DIAEDGE Cutting Tools' TRI-Cooling Technology®, diverse geometries, and grades deliver high-quality precision by providing machining solutions for these difficult-to-cut materials and challenging cutting conditions.
DSA
When it comes to machining aircraft engine casing components in hard-to-machine heat-resistant materials, there is no better choice then the DIAEDGE DSA high-quality-drill. The DSA features specially designed TRI-Cooling Technology® and precise coolant hole geometry. Durable grades and thin margins to minimize contact, prevent cutting edge heat buildup by reducing cutting heat and work-hardening for consistent machining quality.

CERAMIC
Ni-based heat-resistant alloys (HRA) such as Inconel® 718 are common materials used for machining airframe skins and rib components. DIAEDGE Ceramic Endmills work effectively at these high temperatures and self-generate the amount of heat required to soften the machined material via ultra-high feeds and speeds to maximize machining efficiencies.
